The Southwest Alentejo Natural Park is the guardian of the beauty of the Alentejo beaches, awarded with international awards. Squeezed between cliffs or stretching in sandy long, they are ideal for the perfect rest. With a well preserved coast, the seashore meets crowded beaches and others still in the wild state. On the way, you will find small shelters to eat fish in villages that look out over the sea.

Alentejo Litoral has a clear vocation for Active Tourism and Nature, owning three Nature Reserves. Of the more than 130km of very rich and diverse coastal landscape that goes from the Sado Estuary to the slopes of the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo, its beauty invites to hiking and long walks. The Alentejo is also known for its gastronomy. Migas, the gazpacho, lamb stew, pork to the Alentejo, the soup of purslane, the trotters with coriander and dogfish soup are some of the dishes of the region. Among the snacks we found the sweetbreads, chorizo ​​and sausage, pork ear, snails, greaves and ham. Accompanied with a good Alentejo red wine tempt the palate of those who test these delicacies.

In addition to the hidden places and tourist points of interest,in the dams and in the seashore you can find many nautical activities. You can opt for the fishing rod, scubadive, diving, surfing, kite surfing or windsurfing (several schools in the area). Municipal roads, despite the lack of bike lanes, are excellent for touring. And our mild climate allows activities such as parachuting, paragliding, ballooning and tours in ultra-light.
